- Tax and currency
- Prices are shown in USD. Any applicable Japanese tax is stated in the final quotation or invoice.
Additional costs
- International and domestic shipping, insurance, customs duties, import taxes, sample return costs, and specialist installation are not included unless stated in writing.
- Payment-provider, bank, or currency-conversion charges imposed by the client’s provider are borne by the client.
- No outside cost is incurred on the client’s behalf without written approval.
Order and payment
- How to apply
- Email the product URL, target vehicle, requested decision, and preferred service. Work begins only after scope, safety limits, deliverables, schedule, total cost, and payment terms are agreed in writing.
- Payment method
- Credit or debit card through Stripe, or another method expressly stated in the written proposal.
- Advisory / Desk Audit
- 100% due before the session or research begins.
- Vehicle Test
- 50% to reserve the test; remaining 50% after sample acceptance and before testing begins.
- Extended Validation
- Milestones and due dates are stated in the written proposal.
Delivery timing
- Advisory
- Session scheduled after payment and receipt of the agreed pre-read materials; action memo delivered on the schedule confirmed in writing.
- Desk Audit
- Normally within three business days after payment and receipt of complete materials.
- Vehicle Test
- Normally within 7–10 days after successful installation and receipt of all amounts due.
- Extended Validation
- Normally 14–21 days, subject to the agreed scenario matrix and proposal.
- Delay
- Timing may change for shipping, customs, unsafe or incompatible samples, missing information, vehicle availability, or events outside reasonable control. Material delays are communicated promptly.
Cancellation and refunds
- Before work begins, a client may request cancellation. Refunds are made after deducting non-recoverable payment charges, approved outside costs, and any work already performed.
- After work begins, fees for completed work and committed non-recoverable costs are not refundable. Any remaining unearned amount is reviewed in good faith.
- After delivery, fees are not refundable except where the delivered service materially fails to match the written scope and cannot be corrected within a reasonable period.
- An incompatible, unsuccessful, or negative test result is a valid paid result and is not a refund condition.
- If Japan EV Field Lab cancels before completing the agreed service, the unearned portion is refunded. This does not include third-party charges already incurred with approval.
Samples and safety
Physical samples are accepted only after scope and safety review. Return, retention, or disposal is agreed before shipment. The client is responsible for lawful export/import, accurate product information, and all approved logistics costs.
Japan EV Field Lab does not perform work on brakes, steering, suspension, high-voltage systems, or ADAS modifications, and may stop any test that presents a safety, legal, vehicle-damage, or data-security concern.
Service limitations
The service provides independent research, installation evidence, owner-use observations, and market advice. It is not vehicle homologation, safety certification, regulatory approval, legal advice, or a guarantee of sales performance. Findings apply only to the vehicle, product version, materials, conditions, and scope stated in the report.
